Traditional Japanese Noh Theatre Performance

The City of Wollongong is proud to present in a traditional Japanese Noh Theatre Performance - The Uzawa Noh Troupe at the Illawarra Performing Arts Centre May 14

As a commemoration of the 20th anniversary of the Wollongong-Kawasaki Sister City relationship, this exclusive engagement tour features internationally acclaimed Noh performer and teacher Ms Hisa Uzawa.

Five hundred years old, Noh is a highly stylised form of Japanese theatre that integrates song, dance, poetry and percussion, featuring stunning costumes and spectacular masks. This is the first time that an authentic Noh performance from Japan will be staged in Wollongong.
