Neighbourhood Forums

A Neighbourhood forum is a community group that is independent from Council and who meet to discuss local issues. Council supports the forums through venue hire and actively engages with the Neighbourhood Forums on relevant plans and projects, providing guest speakers when necessary.

A variety of new Neighbourhood Forum models were put to Council in April 2013 and we are currently consulting with Neighbourhood Forum Convenors on how best to continue to offer support to these consultative groups. Part of these discussions will be to review the Neighbourhood Forum Charter from 2008, which can be read here.

Currently, there are eight Neighbourhood Forums across the local government area. To find out which forum area you live in, please view the  Neighbourhood Forum boundary map.
