Ride to work week

12-16 October

Illawarra Ride to Work Week 2009 is a joint initiative run by Wollongong, Shellharbour and Kiama Councils as part of the Sustainable Illawarra program. The aim of the event is to encourage Illawarra residents to take on the challenge and give riding to work a go.

Illawarra Ride to Work Week 2009 will be held in conjunction with the National Ride to Work campaign which in 2007 saw approximately 90 000 regular and first-time riders from all states and territories ride to work save a significant amount of greenhouse gas and reduce congestion on the roads.

Illawarra Ride to Work Week 2009 will be a great opportunity for you to start riding. Take the first step and register your participation by clicking on the ‘register now’ link below. All eligible participants will go in the draw to win one of 3 bicycle and helmet packs each to the value of $500. There is one pack to be won in each LGA.
