Bellambi Rock Pool

Council needs to carry out maintenance at Bellambi Pool for safety reasons. The pool concourse is made of large concrete slabs constructed over a natural rock shelf. Movement has caused large cracks to form on the concrete slabs. Council will be demolishing the wading pool and restoring the rock shelf to its natural state. The concrete concourse around the adult pool will also be restored. The embankment will be reshaped and reinforced with rock revetments to stabilise the foreshore and remove a dangerous drop onto the beach.

In order to ensure all relevant residents and groups have the opportunity to find out more about the works, we are holding an information kiosk to provide residents with an opportunity to talk to Council officers about the project.

The construction work will provide the community with a safer facility by repairing the area of concrete concourse around the main swimming pool. Council recently advertised a tender for suitably qualified organisations to submit tenderers to carry out the work. The tender process will take approximately three months.

There may be temporary closures to the playground and main swimming pool during the works and Council apologises for any inconvenience this may cause.
