​The Corrimal Shopfront Improvement Grant Program has a focus on enhancing the appearance of the streetscape by activating street frontages, repairing and maintaining buildings, and celebrating the eclectic and unique character of the Corrimal Town Centre.

Shopfront audits of buildings were conducted as part of the program which put forward recommendations on how to improve the building’s facade and shop front. To view the eligible area included in this program, please see the map below:

Landowners and business owners are encouraged to upgrade their shopfronts through a matched financial incentive of up to $20,000 under the program.

Landowners (and business owners with landowners' consent) were able to apply under the scheme, and successful applicants then need to enter into a Funding Deed with Wollongong City Council. The Funding Deed will outline the works to be undertaken, Council’s financial contribution, and the timeframes for work to be completed.
