Wollongong's Australia Day celebration, held around Wollongong Harbour and foreshore, is the City's biggest annual event. We're already working to bring you another great day on 26 January 2016, and will update this page with program details when they're confirmed.

Each Australia Day, we acknowledge those people and organisations within our community who make Wollongong a better place. If you know someone who has made an outstanding contribution or achievement, nominate them for the City of Wollongong Australia Day Awards using our online form.

Stallholders & Vendors
Wollongong’s Australia Day celebrations attract over 45,000 people and we’re inviting food stallholders and novelty vendors to participate by selling a variety of foods and products to contribute to the fun of the day.
If you’d like to hold a stall at this event, you can now apply online.
Before submitting an application, make sure you have the following information ready:
- A copy of your Public Liability Insurance Certificate of Currency, in a format that can be uploaded through our online form (eg, scanned image or PDF)
- Credit card details to complete payment online and lodge your application
- For food vendors:
- NSW Food Authority Number
- Wollongong City Council Food Business Number
- Food Safety Supervisor Number.

Early Bird Rates
An Early Bird rate is being offered until 30 November 2015. Following this date, vendor fees will increase as can be seen in the table below. Sites will be allocated based on a first-in basis and applicants will be confirmed via email with a letter from Rotary. Should you require more than one site, a separate application will be required for each site.

Volunteers for Australia Day
Want to see our Australia Day celebrations from behind the scenes? If you've got some spare time, think about joining our team of event volunteers. It's a great way to get some experience working at a major event. There are lots of things volunteers can do on the day, from marshalling and distributing information to assisting with our Citizenship Ceremony.
