Wollongong Rotaract Hospital Bed Run
One of the day's highlights is the Wollongong Rotaract Hospital Bed Run where participants - often wearing madcap costumes - put their bed-pushing skills to the test. The event is a fundraiser for Wollongong Hospital.

Parking, Shuttle Bus and transport arrangements
Free Gujarat NRE 'Park and Ride'
Leave your car at JJ Kelly Park and Vikings Oval and catch the free bus service. Buses operate every 15 minutes from 12 noon until 11pm.
Free Gong Shuttle Bus
Leave your catrat Dalton Park and catch the Gong Shuttle Bus. Buses operate every 10 minutes from 6am until 11pm.
City Rail
Catch a train to Fairy Meadow, North Wollongong or Wollongong stations and catch the Gong Shuttle Bus.
Disabled Access
Limited parking for people with disabilities is available - access is via Harbour Street only.
Road Closures for 26 January
D&D Traffic Management Road Closures. Vehicle access passes mandatory for entry.
5am-10.15pm - Marine Dr, Flagstaff Hill, Cliff Road between Marine Dr and Georges Pl, Harbour St between Smith St and Cliff Road, Robertson, Hector and Hinton Streets.
8.30pm-10.15pm - Crown St between Harbour St and Marine Dr, gates at Flagstaff Hill.
5am-10.15pm - Fish Co-op Rd and Inner Harbour
5am-10.15pm - Campbell St from Corrimal St eastbound
This year, due to the refurbishment of the Northbeach Bathers Pavilion the eastern side of Cliff Road will be closed from 5am to 11.30am on Australia Day to facilitate the running of the Illawarra Aquathon. Northbound one-way traffic only will operate along Cliff Road between Georges Place and Bourke Street from 5am to 11.30am.
The parking lane on the eastern side of Cliff Road will be closed from 12noon Wednesday 25 January to ensure no vehicles are parked within the road closed area the following day. The road will be reopened from 11.30am.
