Whether you want to beef up your reading skills, learn about native gardens, or discover your inner Picasso, there's loads to do during the school holidays. 

Botanic Garden

Chicken-keeping workshops, outdoor theatre shows and craft activities - there's always something happening at the Botanic Garden. For details of opening hours and school holiday activities, please visit the Botanic Garden website.

Wollongong City Gallery

The gallery isn't just a place to check out some terrific artwork. You can also sign up to one of their popular workshops and get crafty. Contact the gallery, or visit their website, for more details.

Leisure Centres

Work off some excess energy at Council's leisure centres. There are two - Beaton Park Leisure Centre in Gwynneville and Lakeside Leisure Centre in Kanahooka. For details of activities on offer during the school holidays, please call 4227 7755 or visit the Leisure Centres website.

Library

Storytelling, Lego, craft, a pirate treasure hunt and Nintendo Wii are just some of the fun activities on offer a library near you during the Summer holidays. For detailed dates, times and locations of activities please see our What's On brochure or drop into your nearest branch.

Youth Centre

For details of drop in hours and great school holiday activities, visit the Youth Centre's Facebook page.

Activities are free for young people 12-18 years, are fully supervised, and are drug and alcohol free.
