Payment options
Direct Debit
Take the worry out of paying on time by having your accounts paid directly from your bank, building society or credit union account. You have the choice of having your payments automatically debited on the due date or alternatively you can schedule the payments using our pay by phone or pay by web services.
Online
Our secure internet payment system is an easy sytem that allows you to make a payment using your Visa or Mastercard.
Credit card transactions incur a 0.72% processing fee. If you choose to use your credit card, you will incur this fee at the time of payment.

BPAY
BPAY allows you to pay a variety of bills from your cheque or savings account. Credit card payments are not accepted through the BPAY system. Contact your financial institution to register for BPAY, or visit the Bpay website.
Post Billpay
You can pay your Wollongong City Council bills in person at any Post Office, by phoning on 13 18 16, or by visiting the Post-bill-pay website.
Phone
To pay your Wollongong City Council bills over the phone, 24 hours a day, seven days a week, call our payments line on 1300 723 745. We accept payments using Visa or Mastercard.
Mail
Send your cheque, and the payment slip at the bottom of your notice to Wollongong City Council - Locked Bag 8821, Wollongong DC NSW 2500.
Remember to allow enough time for the cheque to reach us by the due date. Please make your cheque payable to Wollongong City Council, and mark it 'not negotiable'.
In Person
Visit our Customer Service Centre, located on the ground floor of our Administration Building, between 8.30am and 5pm Monday to Friday except public holidays.
You can pay in person using cash, cheque credit card or EFTPOS. Please make your cheque payable to Wollongong City Council, and mark it 'not negotiable'.
Penalty Infringement Notice
The State Debt Recovery Office (SDRO - the fines division of the Office of State Revenue) looks after with all penalty infringement notices issued by Councils in NSW. If you receive a penalty infringement notice you should pay this fine in accordance with the options provided to you on the back of the infringement notice. If you believe you were unjustly fined there are two options as follows.
Option 1
Elect to have the matter heard in Court - details are printed on the back of the infringement notice.
Option 2
Request a review, details of how to do this is on the back of the infirngement. Requests be made to the SDRO, as per the details on the back of the infringement. The SDRO will make a decision based on your information. Any response you receive will be from the SDRO.
