Please express your interest in writing to Manager, Environmental Strategy & Planning, Wollongong City Council, Locked Bag 8821, Wollongong DC NSW 2500 by Friday 16 December 2011, indicating the committee and position you are applying for and demonstrating how you meet the selection criteria.
Estuary and Coastal Zone Management Committee
The Estuary and Coastal Zone Management Committee has been established to provide advice to Council on the preparation and implementation of estuary and coastal zone management plans for Wollongong.
Applications are invited from people interested in the sustainable management of the Wollongong coastline. Current vacancies are for an independent scientific advisor on estuarine issues; two community representatives from each of Council’s three wards; and three representatives from local, broad-based community environmental groups.

Wollongong Heritage Advisory Committee
The Wollongong Heritage Advisory Committee has been established to provide advice to Council on its policies and strategic projects where these relate to the management, conservation and promotion of Wollongong’s heritage.
Applications are invited from people interested in the management and conservation of Wollongong’s unique cultural heritage. There are currently eight vacancies for independent community representatives.

Environment and Sustainability Reference Group
The Environment and Sustainability Reference Group has been established to provide advice to Council on policies and strategies which relate to Wollongong’s environment. The focus of the Reference Group is to assist Council work towards improving environmental outcomes and achieving long-term sustainability.
Applications are invited for an independent scientific advisor on sustainability issues; one community representative from each of Council’s three wards; and two representatives from local, broad-based community environmental groups.
