Planning Proposal for Corrimal and Beach Street Wollongong - Warrigal Care
Print Page
  18/07/2011  - 2/09/2011

Council has received a draft planning proposal for 208-212 Corrimal Street, 1 and 25 Beach Street Wollongong requesting a rezoning from B6 Enterprise Corridor to B4 Mixed Use an increase in the floor space ratio from 0.5:1 to 1.5:1 and an increase in height from 9m to 32m.

Council considers that a spot rezoning for the site would be inappropriate and have determined that any potential rezoning should investigate the entire precinct bound by Beach Street, Corrimal Street, Swan Street and Kembla Street Wollongong.

To assist Council in forming an opinion on the proposal, Council is notifying surrounding land owners and other stakeholders of the proposal and supporting information before reporting the draft planning proposal to a Council Meeting later this year.

If Council resolves to progress the planning proposal there will be a formal community consultation period as part of the process.

The draft planning proposal may be viewed between 18 July and 2 September 2011.
