The Policy outlines Council's approach to working with government agencies and the community to help coordinate pest control in a well planned way. Council has prepared a discussion paper which aims to:
- provide information about the policy and the proposed management approach;
- gain community feedback on attitudes to pest animals;
- the roles of the community, authorities and Council in their pest animal management; and
- promote the reporting of pest issues to Council.

Community information sessions on the draft policy will be held during February at the venues listed below. Council staff will be available to answer enquiries on the Policy.
