We want to hear your thoughts on the nine design principles for the MacCabe Park draft master plan
28/03/2011  - 15/04/2011

Thank you for your interest in MacCabe Park - this exhibition period has now closed. The results will be compiled and a report submitted to GAO to assist them in developing a draft master plan.

Project Update: Key Design Principles

Council engaged with the community during November 2010 and provided the public with a blank canvas to share what they do and don't like about the park, and the visions for its future development. Council received 159 submissions from the community in addition to holding kiosks and discussions with various focus and reference groups. The results were provided to the Government Architect's Office (GAO).

Council now wishes to update the community on the nine key design principles that GAO has developed and ask you how important each of the principles are in designing a draft master plan. The upgrade of the park is a long term project for Council with structures and stages that can be implemented over time as funds become available. Comments and feedback from this consultation will help in developing the draft master plan. Council will advertise when this is ready for public exhibition.

Please forward information onto any community members, friends, family or networks you are involved in that would be interested in the design principles.

How to be involved?

Please read GAO's Analysis and Design Principles Report with the Community Engagement Summary Report and complete the feedback form to provide your comments. A frequently asked question sheet (FAQ) has been developed to help you understand the consultation and the project more clearly.
