Council is seeking community feedback on a draft proposal to rezoning various sites at the former Huntley and Avondale Collieries site. The rezoning includes a mixture of environmental, rural and non-urban zones, and a combination of R2 Low Density Residential (approx. 470 dwellings), RE2 Private Recreation, SP3 Tourist (90 room hotel and 45 cabins), E2 Environmental Conservation, E3 Environmental Management, and E4 Environmental Living (approx. 25 rural-residential dwellings) sites.
