The Wollongong Development Control Plan 2009 came into force on 3 March 2010. A review commenced after 6 months of operation. The first stage of the review is now available for public exhibition and includes amendments to the following chapters:
1. A1 Introduction
2. B1 Residential Development
3. C3 Boarding Houses
4. C10 Home Business and Industry
5. E3 Car Parking, Access, Servicing/Loading Facilities and Traffic Management
6. E12 Geotechnical Assessment
7. E19 Earthworks (Land Reshaping Works)
8. E20 Contaminated Land.
Upon adoption of the above chapters the following chapter will be repealed
1. C11 Home Industry
2. E4 Development Near Railway Corridors and Major (Busy) Roads
3. E5 BASIX.
The draft chapters are on exhibition from 9 May 2011 to 20 June 2011. Copies of the suite of documents can be viewed below:
