Community engagement describes all the ways we talk with the community about things that affect your future.
There are lots of ways you can get involved in engagement activities to learn more about what Council does, let us know your views and ideas, and help make Wollongong a better place to live.
To find out about our current community engagement activities and exhibitions, visit the Have Your Say Wollongong website.

A Neighbourhood Forum is a community group that’s independent from Council and meets to discuss local issues. Council supports the forums through venue hire and actively engages with the Neighbourhood Forums on relevant plans and projects, providing guest speakers when necessary.
To find out more, including which forum area you live in, please view the Neighbourhood Forum Charter, or click below to see more about each group:
Council supports a number of community Reference Groups and Advisory Committees as a means of engaging with the community.
These groups provide Council with information, knowledge and advice on their specific area of interest or issue. To find out more, visit our Other Groups and Committees page.
