Wollongong City Council is coordinating a monster giant car boot sale in September to help community members sell or trade their unwanted and pre-loved items.

As part of Council’s move to reduce the amount of unwanted and pre-loved items going into Council’s waste stream, Council’s Environment staff are coordinating a giant car boot sale in Corrimal as part of the Spring into Corrimal festivities.

Manager Environmental Strategy and Planning Vanni De Luca said the car boot sale is an opportunity for community members to sell or trade their pre-loved household goods, have some fun, meet other local community members, and earn some cash.

“Council is simply asking community members to register their interest in the Giant Car Boot Sale,” Mr De Luca said. “Council is also asking for a gold coin donation from all car boot sellers as well as people visiting the car boot sale on the day and the funds raised will go into programs organised by Access Community Group which support the local community.”

To register interest in the Giant Car Boot Sale, you must return a completed registration form to Wollongong City Council by close of business, Tuesday 6 September 2011.

The form is available through Council’s internet site and must be returned to:
