Are you thinking of standing in the local government elections in September? Would you like to know more about how Council operates and the services, projects and facilities it provides?

Wollongong City Council will host a special ‘drop in’ community information session from 5.30pm – 7.00pm on Tuesday 28 June at the Town Hall.

Wollongong City Council General Manager, David Farmer, said that the session was a chance to meet Senior Managers and find out more about some of Council’s key projects.

“We’ll have a number of information stations set up around the room with information about our budget, Management Plan, major projects as well as details about how the different services and facilities of council operate.”

“It’s a chance for interested people to get an inside eye view of the business of Council.”

“This session is being run by Wollongong City Council about Wollongong City Council.  It’s not about the nomination or election process – that is the responsibility of the NSW Electoral Commission,” Mr Farmer added.

People interested in attending the session should RSVP by Friday 24 June to 4227 7111.
