All Wollongong City Council libraries will be closed on Wednesday 7 March with library staff undertaking a day of training.

Manager Community Cultural and Library Services Jenny Thompson said it is important for library staff to develop their skills and to discuss new directions in library services, such as social media, e-books and innovative customer programs.

Library chutes will be locked from close of business on Tuesday 6 March and will reopen on Thursday 8 March. All items due to be returned on 7 March can be returned on 8 March with no penalty.
