Looking for Neighbourhood Forum members

If you are interested in joining a Neighbourhood Forum in the Coledale – Clifton area now is the time to put your hand up.

There are eight Neighbourhood Forum areas in Wollongong City with some well established and running monthly meetings. Neighbourhood Forum 2 covering the northern beaches has been silent for some months.

Any person interested in joining Neighbourhood Forum 2 can contact Bruce Reyburn on 0409 228 698.

A meeting will be held on 24 November, 2011, from 7pm at Coledale Community Hall, to encourage community members to join the Forum.  Items to discuss include creating a new Neighbourhood Forum for 2012, or merging with Neighbourhood Forum 3 which is based in Thirroul. Also on the agenda is feedback from the Wollongong 2022 Community Summit.

A Neighbourhood Forum is a community group independent from Council which meets to discuss local issues. These groups will receive Council support as outlined in the Neighbourhood Forum Charter which is available on Council’s website.
