As part of an overall strategy for better transport links between Wollongong and Sydney, Council voted at its meeting of 24 March 2014 to support a petition for the NSW Government to work on the extension of the M1 Princes Motorway (also known as the F6) from Heathcote to St Peters.

This petition is being organised by Member for Kiama, Gareth Ward MP. In order for this matter to be presented to parliament, 10,000 signatures are required. The petition will be open until this target is reached.
