If you’re over 50 and have a flair for art or photography why not enter Wollongong City Council’s Seniors Week Art and Photography Competitions?
Submit your works before Friday, 11 March and see your submission on display at Wollongong City Gallery from 16 March to 1 April.
The theme of this year’s photography competition is ‘photographs of seniors by seniors,’ with prizes awarded for first, second and third place for entries in both competitions.
Council’s Seniors Week Project Officer, Tracey Needman, said that the competitions are a fun way for seniors to get creative and see their work displayed in the City Gallery.
“There have been some amazing entries in previous years, we have very talented individuals in our region over the age of 50,” said Ms Needman.
“Both competitions are a popular aspect of Council’s Seniors Week celebrations and I would encourage everyone to get involved and have a try.”
Entry forms are available from Council libraries, Camera House, Levers Picture Framing and Art Supplies and on Council’s website.
