Extreme wind conditions have forced the closure of two of Wollongong City Council’s landfill sites.

Helensburgh and Whytes Gully landfill sites will remain closed for residents until conditions become safe. The extreme wind conditions have made the landfill sites too dangerous for the public.

Residents with any amount of leaf litter or branches from the wind storms should secure the material and store it safely on their property until the landfill sites are opened again.
