Wollongong City Council has introduced a 50 km an hour speed limit for Squires Way, Fairy Meadow in conjunction with the NSW Touch Football Junior State Cup.
The championships will be held at Dalton Park, Fairy Meadow. The reduced speed limit will apply to Squires Way from Elliott’s Road to the entrance to the Innovation Campus.
The reduced speed limit will be in place from 6am on Saturday 18 February 2012 till 5am on Monday 20 February 2012.
During the event a temporary parking area will be set up on the eastern side of Squires Way and traffic controllers will be on site Saturday and Sunday morning to assist in that area.
All other parking restrictions in the area remain unchanged and drivers are advised that Council rangers may patrol the area.
A record 311 Touch Football teams from NSW will play at Thomas Dalton Park, Fairy Meadow, Wollongong. It’s the 12th year that the Junior State Cup has been held in Wollongong, with the event being the world’s largest junior Touch Football tournament.
