We’ll be opening the doors of the new Warrawong Library on Monday, 29 November with balloons, streamers and celebrations for the community to attend.

The Library will have lots of fun activities and workshops over the entire summer period for the community to enjoy, including free magic shows, book characters dress ups, craft, creative writing and photography workshops.

After having its 20 year lease at Westfield Warrawong terminated in August, Council has been busy fitting out its new premises at 67-71 King Street, Warrawong.

Half of the entire first floor of the building will be dedicated to the Library, making room for the thousands of books and visitors to Warrawong Library each year.

Manager of Community and Cultural Library Services, Jenny Thompson said the new premises on King Street above ‘Plush Sofas’ is an exciting space for the community and regular library goers will be more than pleased with their new Library.

“The Library is in a highly used area, is serviced regularly by public transport and meets important safety and accessibility standards,” said Jenny Thompson.

“We’d like to say thank you again to the community for their support and patience in the transition to the new location,” Jenny Thompson said.

“We invite the whole southern suburbs community and neighbouring suburbs to make use of the Warrawong Library in its fantastic new location, our staff look forward to seeing you there,” Jenny Thompson warmly expressed.
