Wollongong City Council has welcomed the appointment of Mike Leask to the role of CEO at the Illawarra Business Chamber.  Lord Mayor Councillor Gordon Bradbery OAM said Council looked forward to working with Mr Leask in his new role.

“Council will continue to work with the IBC to pursue good social and economic outcomes for the city,” Cr Bradbery said. “The IBC represents more than 600 local businesses that provide employment and investment in the region. We congratulate Mr Leask on his appointment to the role of CEO.”

Mr Leask replaces previous CEO Greg Fisher who has taken up a new role as Business Manager of WEA Illawarra. He comes from the Australian Retailers Association (ARA), where he was Director of Membership & Commercial Relations. He has also had experience in the finance, manufacturing and retailing sectors.
