In the lead up to Valentine’s Day, write your favourite book title on a heart in one of Council’s libraries and go in the lucky draw prize for a chance to win a hamper of goodies.
To celebrate Valentine’s Day in library style, the Wollongong Council libraries at Corrimal, Dapto, Thirroul, Warrawong and Wollongong are running a week long promotion from 7 to 14 February.
Library members are being asked to share their favourite book by writing the title on a heart for other readers to see. Everyone who shares their favourite read goes in the draw to win a hamper of goodies. One lucky winner’s name will be drawn at each of the five libraries at 3pm on Monday, 14 February.
Wollongong Council’s Branch Libraries and Facilities Manager, Jan Noble said Library Lovers Day is a chance for people all over Australia to enjoy their library.
“It’s also a chance for us to promote our wonderful libraries to the community. So if you’re looking for a good read, drop in and borrow a book that has been loved by someone else,” said Mrs Noble.
“To be eligible to enter the draw just have your library membership card or, if you’re not a member, join up by showing ID of your name and street address.”
