Wollongong City Council will begin intersection works on Cleveland Road, Dapto, prior to Christmas.

The Cleveland Road intersection works form part of the West Dapto Access Strategy which has seen the opening of Fairwater Drive West and the extension of Fowlers Road to Marshall St.

The traffic and pedestrian facilities on Cleveland Rd, east of the railway line, have also been completed.

Work has begun on a roundabout on Cleveland Road approximately 500 metres west of Dapto High School.
To undertake an essential stage of this work it is anticipated that Cleveland Road will be closed from 13 December 2011 and that it will reopen on 17 December 2011.

The work is dependant on fine weather and if the start dates changes Cleveland Road residents will be notified by mail.
During the road works traffic will be required to use Huntley Road as a detour.

The works are an important part of a network of roads being built to provide additional access in West Dapto. They form part of the road construction currently underway linking Cleveland Road to Sierra Drive, Horsley, via Fairwater Drive.
