Improvements to formal quotation and tendering processes
Wollongong City Council is changing the way it advertises Requests for Quotations (RFQs), Requests for Tenders (RFTs) and Expressions of Interest (EOIs) by moving into a fully electronic environment.
Commencing in July 2009, Council will place notifications and receive responses to RFQs, RFTs and EOIs electronically, through its eTendering portal.
What are the benefits for suppliers?
- Convenience: Suppliers will be able to download documents instantly, online.
- Cost Savings: Suppliers’ responses will be electronically uploaded into electronic tender boxes, thus removing printing, courier and delivery costs.
- Security: Suppliers may no longer miss a Wollongong City Council opportunity that is important to their business.
