Council recommends you contact Customer Service to schedule a Pre-lodgement meeting to ensure smoother application processing. These meetings offer assistance and advice for developments larger than dual occupancy.

We have tried to provide as much information about building and development process on our website. However, if you have further enquiries you can get general building and planning advice through our Customer Service Centre.
While Customer Service Officers cannot prepare your development documentation, they can show you where you can find the relevant information within the Wollongong Local Environmental Plan (LEP) and Development Control Plans (DCP).
Our Cusomter Service Officers can assist you with:
- general interpretation of LEP and DCP
- development assessment requirements and forms
- zone enquiries
- dual occupancy and multiple family housing
- mixed use development
- home and commercial business development
- industrial development
