Chemical Clean Out

Time: 9am to 3.30pm

We're working with the Department of Environment and Conservation to give you the chance to properly dispose of your unwanted chemical clutter for free.

You're encouraged to to get rid of paint and paint-related products pesticides and herbicides, poisons, solvents and household cleaners, motor oils, fuels and fluids batteries, gas bottles, fire extinguishers, pool chemicals acids and alkalis, hobby chemicals and fluorescent tubes.

Here’s your chance to get rid of:

  • Paint and paint related products (thinners, strippers, varnish etc.)
  • Pesticides and herbicides (fungicides, baits/poisons, wood preservatives)
  • Poisons
  • Solvents and household cleaners
  • Motor oils, fuels and fluids
  • Batteries
  • Gas bottles
  • Fire extinguishers
  • Pool chemicals
  • Acids and alkalis
  • Hobby chemicals (photography chemicals etc.)
  • Fluorescent tubes

Only household quantities accepted 20kg or 20 litres maximum.

Always remember to transport your chemicals carefully so they don’t leak or break.
