Annual household clean up
The annual household cleanup service removes unwanted household waste (not domestic gargage) from residents that is too big or heavy for normal weekly pickup. A limit of approximately one trailer load size (1.8m x 1.2m) of materials per household.
Items that do belong in the annual household clean up service include:
- small items of furniture;
- small appliances, eg radios, kitchen appliances;
- 1.8m lengths of carpet, linoleum, etc.
Items that do not belong in the annual household clean up service include:
- green waste;
- building and demolition materials;
- large materials (longer than 1.8m);
- heavy materials (more than one person can handle);
- whitegoods (washing machines, stoves, etc);
- paints and hazardous chemicals;
- tyres and car parts
- computer monitors and hard drives
- televisions
Cleanup materials must be:
- tied, wrapped or boxed;
- less than 1.8m in length;
- placed on the outer edge of the footpath in front of the premises the day before the advertised collection period as outlined in the timetable.
Only items that can be handled by one person (under 32kg in weight and 1.8m in length) can be accepted.
The clean up service will operate on public holidays.
The household clean up timetable is sent out to every household prior to clean up. Remember: Cleanup material must be placed out the day before the advertised collection period only.
