Activities during the school holiday for children aged 5-18 years

We offer the following gymnastic programs for children aged 2-12 years:

Beaton Park Leisure Centre is a member of Gymnastics NSW and therefore requires all participants of its programs to register as members. Membership entitles participants to sports insurance through the association as well as a membership pack.

KindaGym

KindaGym is an introduction to Beaton Park Gymnastics for children aged 2-5 years. Classes explore a variety of themes and activities including group activity time, music, dancing and circuits. The class develops the child’s dominant movement patterns whilst improving gross and fine motor skills in a fun and safe environment.  Parents' participation is vital to a child’s level of fun and safety, it also allows the experienced instructors to facilitate the learning time.

KindaGym Classes - 55 minutes

  • Tuesday 10.30am
  • Thursday 10.30am 
  • Friday 9am

Days and times are subject to change.

GymFun

While this is a continuation of development from Beaton Park’s KindaGym it can also serve as an introduction for any child to gymnastics. The circuits used in this program have more specific skills designed to teach children about the gymnastics apparatus.

GymFun Classes - 55 minutes

  • Thursday 4pm 
  • Saturday 10am

Advanced Skills

The skills learnt in the previous stages are further developed and used to ensure the gymnasts are developing good body preparation including strength, flexibility and self awareness. There is also the opportunity to participate in recreational competitions. Participation is via invitation only.

Advanced Skills Classes - 2 hours

  • Tuesday 4pm
  • Thursday 4pm 
  • Saturday 10am

Make-Up Lessons

It is important to inform reception if your child is sick, away or on holidays. The system will only allow make-ups if we have been informed of a child’s absence. Make-ups are to be used within the term the child was unable to attend class. Any make-up classes not used within the required time frame will be forfeited.
