Living Library - enjoy an interactive experience at Dapto Library
In this library our 'books' speak... our 'books' are people. The 'books' in the Living Library represent a diverse collection of stories and life experiences.

History week workshop
Carol Preston: Local author and family historian will speak about her own research and book.
Terry Bugg: Local genealogist will discuss researching family history with particular reference to using the valuable material in the Library's Local history collections.

To be held at Dapto Library on the first Saturday of the month from 9.15-9.45am, starting in September. This program consists of stories, songs and finger rhymes - lots of fun for participants. The program is designed specifically for 3-6 year olds.
30 minutes of fun with stories, songs, finger plays and movement rhymes. Designed especially for children aged two to three years and their carers.
- Wollongong, every Thursday @ 10.30am
- Dapto, every Tuesday @ 10.30am
- Corrimal, every Monday @ 11am (commencing 1 September)
Fuel your mind - Book Week competition
- Every child who borrows during the month of August is eligible to enter our competition
- Next time you borrow simply pick up a fuel voucher from a staff member and fill in your library barcode
- Place your voucher in the entry box located at each Branch
- There will be a prize for one reader from each Branch
Dapto and Corrimal Library will be holding basic internet classes on the 2nd Monday of each month. Basic, intermediate and advanced classes are available at the Central Library.

"There's no greater escape than a good book". Pick up your copy of 50 books you can't put down from your local library. Go to the Library catalogue to check the availability of the books listed. Bombproof - the book by bestselling author Michael Robothan that is being promoted by the campaign is also available from the Library.

You can now post your own book reviews on our catalogue. It's quick, easy and fun - let other readers know how much you enjoyed a book! Just ask a staff member and they will show you how it's done.
Library Elf
Do you have trouble keeping track of all those great books, DVDs and magazines you have borrowed from the Library? Why not get some help from Library Elf? Go to Library Elf , sign up, create an Elf account, input your library membership details as requested and make sure you identify your reminder preferences. Library Elf will send you an email and/or RSS feed reminders about when your items are due for return and your reservations available for collection. It's a great way to get your books back on time and avoid overdue fines.

Library Customer Satisfaction Survey Report
The 2008 Library Satisfaction Survey indicated that 79% of customers are satisfied or very satisfied with overall library services. Only 2% indicated that they were not satisfied.
Library Management is looking at ways to improve the areas where customers are least satisfied and some changes will occur at different locations based on your comments received in the survey.
