HOW TO PREPARE FOR YOUR ENGLISH PAPER
You will examine three critical areas of study: reading, imaginative writing and sustained response to prescribed and related texts.Presented by Jane Sherlock, she has taught for 40 years, has been the head of the English Department and is a published author on studying for the HSC.

ENGLISH – AREA OF STUDY
Kate Bradley is a highly esteemed secondary English teacher with a genuine love for writing and literature. Kate holds 10 years’ experience teaching English at Higher School Certificate and International Baccalaureate level and has held the position of Head of English Department. She also holds over 7 years of HSC marking experience with a focus on the three Area of Study English papers. Kate has also written and marked all sections of the trial HSC and half yearly papers.
Come along to hear Kate share detailed insights on preparing for and approaching the three Area of Study English papers.

CREATIVE WRITING FOR THE HSC
Presented by award winning author Will Kostakis. Will shares the tips and tricks to mastering the HSC creative writing portion. The workshop will mix advice with hands-on exercises to ensure students are best equipped to ace the creative writing component of the exam.
