Come along to meet Illawarra Mercury journalist Glen Humphries as he talks about his book Friday Night at the Oxford. Providing a snapshot of the Wollongong music scene over the past 20 years, this collection of stories includes the background to the reunion of legendary band Tumbleweed, an in-depth look at Sunday Painters, as well as iconic shows like HOPE, HyFest and the Steel City Sound exhibition. It’s a celebration of the music of a city.

​Join Wollongong City Libraries for this special TV edition of Show and Tell!
Do you have a passion for TV collectables, whether its kitschy or collectable, rare or mass-produced, come and share your favourite TV memories! Do you have a treasured object with a story to tell?
People are invited to bring in a treasured object and share with others its history and significance. Wollongong City Libraries will also be bringing along items from our collections highlighting the history of television in the Illawarra.
Please note: Dependent on time, not everyone may be able to speak to the audience. It is not required for participants to bring an object or speak to the audience - you are welcome to just enjoy what other participants share!

Woo's Wonderful World of Maths cover

Australia's favourite maths teacher is on a mission: to show us that maths is everywhere and for everyone!
Shortlisted as one of the top ten teachers in the world, maths teacher superstar, Eddie Woo, will be joining us to talk about how to get yourself or your kids into maths.
Copies of his book, Woo's Wonderful World of Maths, will also be available for purchase.
