Our growing collection of DVDs includes popular and classic movies, television shows and documentaries.

Family history
An extensive range of materials to help you with your family history research.

Fiction books
We have a wide range of fiction books for loan. The book collection includes items for all ages and tastes in various print sizes.

Local history
Information relating to the people, the environment, the geography and the history of Wollongong.

Magazines
We stock more than 250 magazine titles to suit all tastes and interests. Magazines are available from all locations.

Music
We have more than 17,000 titles in our music CD collection. Styles of music available include Pop & Rock, Jazz, Country, World, Classics and Opera.

Newspapers
Our libraries stock a range of newspapers including local and major NSW dailies.  The Central Reference Library also receives major regional NSW and interestate newspapers.  Back issues of some newspapers are also available in the Central Reference Library in various formats.

Non-fiction books
We have a wide range of non fiction books for loan.  The non fiction book collection includes items for all ages and tastes.  A core reference collection of encyclopedias, dictionaries and specially selected non fiction materials is also available at each Branch.  The Central Reference Library holds an extensive collection of non fiction materials covering a wide range of topics suitable for study, research and general interest.

Including drug information, legal information, HSC and School Certificate resources.

World languages
Wollongong City Library collects books in nine world languages.  Newspapers and magazines are also available in more than 20 languages.
