eAudiobooks (Bolinda)

Audiobooks are now available to download at home from the Library website. Bolinda Digital have audiobooks for all ages, for your iPod, PC or any MP3 player.

All you need is a library card and a PIN and you can connect to the Bolinda Digital website, and follow the three easy steps - Search, Borrow and Download.

Hear-A-Books

Available for borrowers who can provide a certificate or letter from their doctor stating that they have a print disability.

Audio Navigators 

The Audio Navigators have been designed for use by the elderly and people with visual impairment. They have large, easy to find buttons and controls. The navigators are available for loan to current housebound customers who have difficulty reading print materials. There are only six of these machines available at the moment.

Playaway

Playaway is the newest format of audiobook. When you borrow a Playaway, all you have to do is attach your headphones and press play to start listening immediately. It is the simplest way to enjoy an audiobook.

Each Playaway contains a complete book & comes with an automatic bookmark function that remembers where you left off.

Earphones/buds are not provided but Playaway has a universal ear jack so you can use your own earphones. It can also be plugged into portable speakers.

You will need to provide your own AAA batteries if the batteries in the player are missing or are flat.
