If you would like to learn more about Family History the Central Reference Library holds an extensive collection of resources in a variety of formats. Volunteers from the Illawarra Family History Group are available on Wednesday and Friday morning from 9.30am-12noon to help you find the right resources, use the equipment and share their extensive knowledge.

The Library can also provide you with access to the very popular online Family History Databases ancestry.com and findmypast.com. You can use these databases at any Branch of the Library. These databases allow you to access genealogy, family trees and family history records online. They include records from the United States Census; military records; court, land and probate records; church records; directories and passenger lists.
