School Certificate
A small collection of study guides is available to help year 9 and 10 students with their School Certificate exams. These items can be borrowed from Wollongong, Corrimal, Dapto and Warrawong libraries. To ensure that all students have access to these materials copies are also available in the Central Reference Library and at Corrimal, Dapto and Warrawong for use in the Library.
HSC
Study guides are available for a wide range of HSC topics. These items can be borrowed from Wollongong, Corrimal, Dapto and Warrawong libraries. To ensure that all students have access to these materials copies are also available in the Central Reference Library and at Corrimal, Dapto and Warrawong for use in the Library.
The Central Reference Library also holds an extensive collection of other materials including literary criticisms, economic reports, statistics, scientific journals etc that are useful for HSC students. Complete newspaper and magazine articles and reports are also available online from the Library's subscription databases.
Drug Information
The Wollongong Library is part of the drug information at your library initiative which aims to provide up to date information about alcohol and drugs through local public libraries in New South Wales.
Web resources and public library collections are selected and regularly updated by specialist staff at the State Library of New South Wales in consultation with experts in the field.
Drug information is available at all Branches of the Library. The most extensive collections are available from the Central Reference Library and Corrimal, Dapto and Warrawong District Libraries.
Legal Information
Visit the Central Reference Library, Corrimal, Dapto or Warrawong District Libraries for plain language information to help you answer your legal questions. Wollongong City Library has an extensive range of information about the law and staff trained to help answer your legal questions.
The Wollongong City Library is part of a statewide service which aims to provide free access to legal information for the community. Each Branch Library holds:
- a Legal Toolkit - a collection of plain-English books which answer everyday legal questions
- copies of Hot Topics - a magazine style series on recent changes and current debates in the law

Premier's Reading Challenge
This state wide challenge (Premier's Reading Challenge) is available for all NSW students in Kindergarten through to Year 9. It is an initiative of the NSW state government and supported by your local library. The Challenge aims to encourage students to enjoy reading for leisure and pleasure, and to assist in the development of literacy skills. The Challenge runs from 1 February to 1 September. The four reading groups are K-2, 3-4. 5-6 and 7-9.
Follow the steps below to search for Premier's Reading Challenge books in the library catalogue:
- Log on to our catalogue
- In the search box enter premiers reading challenge and the year group that you are interest in ie. premiers reading challenge 3-4
- Click OK
- The titles will appear listed in alphabetical order
