What is Studiosity?
Studiosity is an online tutoring service offering just-in-time homework and study help to students in years 3 – 12, in English, maths, science, research and study skills.
Students connect online, on-demand to an exclusive, expert network of qualified friendly Subject Specialists, the moment help is needed after school hours.
How does it work?
Students sign in online using their library card, from a library computer or from home.
They’re connected to an expert tutor in a one-to-one session, and can ask their question using a live typed chat function, interactive whiteboards to demonstrate problems like maths equations, and can also browse the web or attach documents for tutor feedback.
How does it help?
For students, the service gives them a lifeline for homework help, after school from 3pm until 10pm. Also, all students receive this additional assistance for free, regardless of their socio-economic or geographic circumstances.
For parents and families, homework time can often be stressful. Studiosity offers the benefits of an accessible after-hours study centre, without the need for arguments, extra travel, appointments or costs.
Who are the online tutors?
The tutors are certified teachers, professional tutors, post graduate students and advanced undergraduate specialists from Australian universities in these subject areas.
They are carefully selected and screened, and undertake rigorous training to ensure only the very best are allowed in the network. They are identified to students using their first names only, and may be located anywhere in Australia.
How do students get access?
All they need is their library card number, and then they can login from 3 - 10pm, Sunday - Friday.
Not a library member? Join the library for free.
