The Library has a variety of resources to help you research your family history
 

Volunteers from the Illawarra Family History Group are available on Level One of Wollongong Central Library on Wednesday and Friday morning from 9.30am-12noon to help you find the right resources, use the equipment and share their extensive knowledge.

Family History research materials held by the library include:

  • immigration and shipping records
  • land and property records
  • professional records
  • orphan school records
  • military records
  • census records and musters
  • electoral rolls
  • directories
  • naturalisation records
  • colonial Secretary Papers
