Council is committed to serving our multicultural community and promoting inclusiveness and the celebration of cultural diversity in the broader community
Wollongong is a culturally and linguistically diverse city. The major community languages are Macedonian, Italian, Greek, Spanish and Arabic. Since 2002, African, Middle Eastern, Burmese and Mandarin-speaking communities have contributed significantly to our cultural mix. In addition, international students make up approximately 20% of the University of Wollongong’s student population.
