Families can be many things: from the people we grow up with, to friends we meet along the way.

We laugh with them, cry with them, and share meals together.

To help us capture a snapshot of the variety and diversity of families across Wollongong, we invited people to send us a photo of their family sharing a meal together. It could be an everyday meal, a special occasion, or anything in between.

You can view entries below. Thanks to everyone who shared their photos with us. We're also planning to exhibit a selection of photos at Wollongong Central in early 2016.

"We, three international students coming from different countries are sharing our dinner, together. The food is typical Nepalese which include Daal (Lentils), Bhaat (Rice), Tarkari (curry) and Achaar (pickle)."
