The Sponsorship of Community Events program provides assistance for not-for-profit groups, organisations or individuals seeking to organise a community event within the City of Wollongong.
Activities sponsored through this program include citywide events, local community events, and sporting events of State or National significance.
Those from culturally and linguistically diverse backgrounds, and Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islanders are encouraged to apply.

Online applications will be accepted from 1 February 2018 until March 2018.
To apply for our Sponsorship of Community Events program, follow these steps:
1. Read the Sponsorship of Community Events guidelines [526 KB]
2. Register for Council’s online services. You will need to be registered to apply for any of our Financial Assistance programs. Some benefits to registering include:
a. Saving unsubmitted applications to edit and submit at a later date
b. Auto population of name details – the system will recognise your company information when you sign in
c. Keep a record of all applications lodged and track their process.
To register, use the following link and we’ll email you a user name and temporary password within two business days. If you’re already registered, you can go straight to step 4.
