Not all household waste can be put in your kerbside bins.
Our new Community Recycling Centre offers a FREE and EASY solution for Wollongong residents to dispose of the following household problem waste items for recycling.
You can drop off paints, gas bottles and fire extinguishers, fluoro globes and tubes, household and car batteries, motor and other oils, smoke detectors, mobile phones, cardboard and paper, mixed recyclables, scrap metal, fridges and freezers, as well as computers and televisions.
Please note, scrap metal includes many whitegoods that are made mostly of metal, such as microwaves, washing machines, dryers and dishwashers.
The Community Recycling Centre (CRC) is located at the Wollongong Waste and Resource Recovery Park, 133 Reddalls Rd, Kembla Grange.
- Monday to Friday: 7.30am – 4.30pm
- Saturday, Sunday, public holidays: 8am – 4pm (Closed Christmas Day)
