Council manages and maintains over $2 billion of infrastructure assets in the local government area. This includes roads, bridges, footpaths, cycleways, stormwater drainage, parks, sports fields and Council-owned buildings.
Like all local government authorities around Australia, we face a major challenge in keeping up with the replacement, renewal and maintenance of our city’s ageing infrastructure. To help address this issue, we are providing additional funding and resources on infrastructure works. We have a long term priority program which sets out the works scheduled, subject to available funding.
