1. Fowlers Road extension to Marshall Street
Work included the extension of Fowlers Road to Marshall Street which consisted of the construction of a roundabout at Marshall Street and the replacement of traffic signals at the intersection of Fowlers Road and the Princes Highway. The road, opened in August 2011, provides another access to West Dapto and will assist in reducing traffic congestion.
The appropriate road, traffic and pedestrian improvements along Bong Bong Road are being reconsidered. Further information will be provided as it becomes available.
2. West Dapto Road and Princes Hwy Intersection Improvements
Work is scheduled to begin in mid-2012 on a four-road intersection with traffic lights that provide an entrance to the Turf Club. The works will include a longer right turn lane on Princes Highway and a left turn lane on West Dapto Road when entering the Princes Highway. Medians, kerb and gutter, footpaths and street lighting are also part of the project.
3. Shone Avenue Realignment
Work is scheduled to commence in late 2012 on Shone Avenue. The works include the proposed replacement of the single lane bridge with a wider bridge allowing the flow of two-way traffic. This work will be capable of conveying floodwaters up to the 1 in 100 year flood level. To build the realigned section of roadway and the new bridge, Council will purchase a section of land to the west of the existing alignment. The new road will be safer due to improved width of roadway, provide better sight distance and much improved flood reliability.

Work is being undertaken on a new through road in front of Dapto Primary School.

New and wider footpaths have also been constructed from the rail over bridge to the Princes Highway to provide better access for school children. A pedestrian safety fence has been erected between the rail over bridge and the eastern access driveway in front of the Endeavour Energy substation. .
Replacement of the Mullet Creek bridge and associated road works is currently in design phase
