Clean Up Australia Day 2012 - a big thanks
This year's Clean Up Australia Day was a huge success - and that's despite having to postpone it until 10-11 March. All up, we had 14,500 volunteers. This includes schools, businesses and community groups.
Everyone did an incredible job in cleaning up their local area and collecting a huge 4.5 tonnes of rubbish!
We thank all the volunteers for doing such a great job and hope to see you and many more for next year's Clean Up Australia Day.
Clean Up Australia Day
Do your bit to help keep the Illawarra beautiful and join in this annual clean up that's held on the first weekend in March. Clean up efforts focus on removing rubbish from stormwater drains and watercourses, which lead to larger waters, and bushlands used for recreation purposes.
Clean Up Australia Day is fun, easy and everyone can take part. Individuals and community groups can either organise a clean up site or volunteer to join an existing site.
