To assist the community in reducing their impact on the environment, Council frequently offers a number of workshops, events and educational programs for you to get involved in. These range from backyard chook-keeping workshops and cooking classes, through to bushwalks and educational activities.

COMPOSTING WORKSHOP - turn your food into A-grade dirt
Time to get dirty with Council's Green Team! Instead of wasting valuable garden and food scraps by throwing them out, reuse and turn them into your own 100% locally-grown dirt. Your homegrown dirt will make your garden, vegetables and flowers thrive whilst deterring nasty garden pests!
As a bonus, each registered participant will be able to receive a FREE compost bin to take home.
When: Friday 23 February 10am - 12noon
Where: Warrawong library, Level 1, 67-71 Kings St, Warrawong

Limit of one compost bin per household. The free compost giveaway is only applicable to Wollongong City Council residents who have not received a free one already from prior workshops.

Join the Green Team at Wollongong Library in March to find out the in's and out's of setting up and maintaining your very own Compost or Worm Farm.
