To assist the community in reducing their impact on the environment, Council frequently offers a number of workshops, events and educational programs for you to get involved in. These range from backyard chook-keeping workshops and cooking classes, through to bushwalks and educational activities.

If you have any questions email the Green Team at GT@wollongong.nsw.gov.au or phone (02) 4227 7111.

Join the Green Team to find out the in’s and out’s of setting up and maintaining your very own worm farm or compost bin.  As a bonus, each registered workshop participant will be able to receive a FREE worm farm / compost bin to take home*.

Don’t waste valuable garden and food scraps that could be turned into your own 100% locally grown fertiliser which will make your garden, vegetables and flowers thrive.
