To assist the community in reducing their impact on the environment, Council frequently offers a number of workshops, events and educational programs for you to get involved in. These range from backyard chook-keeping workshops and cooking classes, through to bushwalks and educational activities.
If you have any questions email the Green Team at or phone (02) 4227 7111.
FREE Home Composting Workshops to celebrate International Compost Awareness Week        (5-11 May)
Improve the health of your garden and deter nasty garden pests.  Instead of wasting valuable garden and food scraps by throwing in the bin, reuse this resource and turn it into your own 100% locally grown dirt which will make your garden, vegetables and flowers thrive.
To inspire you, Council’s Green Team are hosting Bokashi composting, Traditional Composting and Worm Farm workshops for residents.
As a bonus, each registered workshop participant will be able to receive a FREE compost bin, bokashi bin or worm farm to take home.*
