Council Meeting
This event includes the Public Access Forum and Council Meeting.
Public Access Forum
Starts at 6pm
Members of the public can ask to address Councillors before the start of the Council Meeting. This is called our Public Access Forum. In line with the Model Code of Meeting Practice, the Public Access Forum is not a formal part of the proceedings of the Council Meeting.
To speak at a public forum, you must apply to Council by 12 noon on the working day before the meeting, using our Public Access Forum application form PDF, 179.41 KB PDF, 732.65 KB
People speaking at meetings also need to follow our Code of Meeting Practice policy PDF, 743.11 KB.
Council Meeting
Starts at the end of the Public Access Forum, or at 6.30pm, whichever is earlier. If there is no Public Access Forum, the Council Meeting will start at 6pm.
The Lord Mayor and Councillors will meet at Council Chambers, 41 Burelli Street, Wollongong, to hear public submissions via the Public Access Forum and consider Council reports.
The business paper will be available a week before this meeting on our Council Business Papers page.
Watch online
You can watch all Public Access Forums and Council Meetings online via our webcast.
Watch in person
Community members are welcome to attend Public Access Forums and Council Meetings. Seats in the public gallery are available from 5.45pm.
If you're attending in-person, you must follow the Public Gallery Conduct Standards.
By attending this meeting, you consent to the possibility that your image and voice may be broadcast to the public via webcast.
Closed Council
Sometimes we will ask people in the public gallery to wait outside so an item can be considered in Closed Council. When this happens, the live webcast will also be paused.
The webcast will re-start, and people can return to the public gallery, after the Closed Council item has been discussed.
See our Council Meetings page for more information.
